We’re excited to bring this delicious snack to you as our January Snack of the Month. With National Keto Week kicking off early this month, The Good Lovin’ bars deserve your attention! These bars are keto-friendly, organic, grain-free, non-GMO, gluten-free, paleo, and vegan!

Good Lovin’ Foods, Inc., makers of the bars, is a family-owned business —mother and two sons— based in Southern California. Mom Bernie Smith, a self-described foodie, came up with the bars’ recipe. She tested them at farmers’ markets around San Diego County with great success. Although Good Lovin’ Foods is still a very young company, they have been able to secure the distribution of their bars at Whole Foods and other SoCal markets.

We loved the bars and decided we had to offer them to our customers. So, if you are a current customer and you don’t see The Good Lovin’ bars in your kitchen, be sure to let your Happiness Manager know to add them to your snack selection. You won’t be disappointed!

If you are not a current customer, get on board and make the upgrade today!

Our December Snack of the Month tastes just like the holidays! Marich® Dark Chocolate Barrel Aged Bourbon Caramels and Marich Dark and White Chocolate Candy Cane Caramels are terrific, delicious, AND Fair Trade Certified™.

Marich Confectionery was founded in 1983 in Watsonville, California by Marinus van Dam. Marinus started his candy-making career cleaning floors at a local candy store in his native Rotterdam, Netherlands. Through hard work, he learned how to make all sorts of candy —from caramels to jellies. Marinus was one of the first employees at the Herman Goelitz Candy Company (inventor and maker of Jelly Belly® Jelly Bean®) where he created many of the jelly bean recipes that America loves to this day.

In 1998, Marinus’ sons, Brad and Troy built a new Marich site in Hollister, California. They live by their values of “Responsibility: to the company, its people, customers, stakeholders and the world we live in”. Throughout the years, Marich Confectionery has been recognized and awarded accolades for its leadership and shaping the gourmet chocolate space.

For the holiday season, Marich offers delicious caramels that are made with Fair Trade cocoa. By using Fair Trade products, Marich Confectionery helps farmers live better lives and improve their crop quality. Plus, the chocolates are non-GMO and a vast majority of the ingredients are sourced from local California suppliers.

If you are an Oh My Green customer and don’t see Marich pancrafted chocolates in your kitchen, ask your Happiness Manager to add them to your mix of snacks. If you’re not a current customer, then get on board and make the upgrade now!

We’re always on the lookout for unique and nutritious snacks to add to our selection. So, when we were introduced to Atsá bars we became instant fans and that’s why we have selected them to be November’s Snack of the Month.

In their quest for a wholesome snack, Atsá uses sustainably harvested products that are naturally organic, non-GMO, and gluten-free —like superfoods Pinyon nuts and Saskatoon berries— and favor the use of all-natural preservatives. They combine these powerful ingredients with other equally nutritious ones to create their delicious bars.

Founder Rafael Pintor, a student at Cal Poli, got inspiration for his bars while visiting his Navajo ancestors’ land. Rafael’s inspiration, vision, and mission are to create a sustainable superfood snack and in the process connect people with their food sources. That’s why Atsá partners directly with Native communities to grow and harvest foods to help ignite their local economies.

At this time, Atsá offers two varieties of chewy and delicious bars: Chocolate Cherry Pecan —made with Saskatoon berries, tart cherries, pecans, cacao, almonds, vanilla, and a hint of Himalayan pink salt— and their signature bar that started it all, Toasted Nut & Cranberry —made with Pinyon (pine nuts), pepitas, cranberries, chia, quinoa, and cinnamon.

If you are an Oh My Green customer and don’t see Atsá bars in your kitchen, ask your Happiness Manager to add them to your mix of snacks. If you’re not an Oh My Green customer, then get on board and make the upgrade now!

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, one of the reasons why we selected  Beanfields Himalayan Pink Salt Bean Chips as our Snack of the Month.

Beanfields Chips are non-GMO, allergen- and gluten-free, made from black and/or navy beans, both selected for their high protein, fiber, and potassium content. Beans are nutrient bombs that give the body what it needs. But don’t be fooled, these snacks are also very tasty!

Beanfields describes this flavor best: “The unique glistening pink salt from the far reaches of the globe will enlighten your taste buds and turn ‘Yums’ into ‘Oms’ (when eaten with meditation). So, when someone asks if you want to come over, you can tell them, ‘Namaste home and eat all these chips!”‘

Beanfields began as an experiment to make chips out of beans in the founder’s family kitchen. Because they are ridiculously delicious and nutritious, they became a successful business and one of our wonderful partners. Like us, they care about where and how food is grown. Beans are one of the most sustainable crops to grow, and Beanfields has worked with the same bean farmers in the USA since their humble beginnings. They are a certified B Corporation, granted by the nonprofit B Lab which verifies they meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

If you are an Oh My Green customer and don’t see Beanfields in your kitchen, contact your Happiness Manager. If you’re not an Oh My Green customer, then get on board and make the upgrade now!

Our pick as September’s Snack of the Month is ReGrained Bars. A desire to brew beer for free and a little bit of ingenuity led two UCLA students to create this amazing product. It provides incredible nutritional value to humans and is also good for the planet.

Founders Dan Kurzrockand Jordan Schwartz initially thought they could make enough money to cover the cost of brewing their own beer by making and selling bread using a beer-brewing by-product. When they realized that the beer grain had great nutritional value —full of protein, fiber, and micronutrients –they decided they could do more than bread.

In 2013 they launched their first ReGrained bars.

ReGrained’s mission says it all. “To rescue those overlooked, but awesome ingredients and put them back to work—fueling your day, your taste buds, and your imagination.” ReGrained salvages the nutrient-rich grain that is created every time beer is brewed. Then, using their own patent-pending technology, they mill it into what they call SuperGrain+ flour, which is a great source of prebiotic fiber that feeds the great probiotic bacteria living in our guts. So, it’s a win-win!

The company is also committed to sustainability, reducing food waste, and even developing sustainable packaging for their products (they recently hit a snag with their original compostable wrappers but have vowed to find a solution that works and open-source it to the industry.)

So, next time you reach for an afternoon snack in your Oh My Green-stocked kitchen, give the ReGrained bars a try. If you don’t see them, please let your Happiness Ambassador know.

There’s nothing better than shining a spotlight on a great snack (except maybe actually eating the snack).  This month, we love Deep River Snacks. As our August Snack of the Month, Deep River Snacks make amazing chips from all Non-GMO ingredients. The company also avoids artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. It’s all part of their mission is to use simpler and better ingredients. But wait, there’s more. All of Deep River Snacks are certified gluten-free, made in a nut-free facility, vegetarian (some are vegan), Kosher, as well as soy, cholesterol and trans-fat free.

Deep River Snacks, the company, is also quite remarkable. Founder and CEO, Jim Goldberg, was inspired to create his company by health challenges faced by his own two sons, friends, and co-workers. He felt that through his company he could provide a platform to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for diseases. So, they use the packaging to feature the organizations that have touched the lives of Deep River Snacks’ employees. And the company donates at least 10% of their profits to various charities each year.

You too can make a difference in your community when you enjoy a snack. You only have to reach for a delicious bag of Deep River Snacks.

If you are an Oh My Green customer and don’t see Deep River Snacks in your kitchen, contact your Happiness Ambassador. If you’re not an Oh My Green customer, then get on board and make the upgrade now!

Whole Lotta Bars totally deliver on Clif’s new slogan “Make It Good”, especially the Tart Cherry Almond bars. They speak for themselves!

The Clif Whole Lotta bars are soft-baked, mouth-watering, and made with whole food ingredients like pumpkin seeds, almonds, dried cherries, and ginger. If that didn’t win you over, let us tell you that the bars are also organic, contain plant-based protein, have zero added sugar, and are 100% gluten, dairy, and guilt free. In a nutshell, you get all the good stuff packed into one bar.

The Whole Lotta bars are great for a snack in-between meetings, an easy breakfast, or anytime you want something nutritious and filling.

Ever wonder where did it all begin for Clif? Turns out, founder Gary Erickson was riding his bike and decided he was done eating unappetizing bars. He wanted something tasty and satisfying, as well as energizing. Gary spent six months perfecting the first Clif Bar recipe. The rest is history, as they say. Oh, but no…the company didn’t stop there. The Clif Bar and Company is the leader in nutrition bars and follows a unique business model focusing on FIVE (wow!) aspects, they refer to aspirations focused on sustainability: the business, their brands, their people, the planet, and the community. In case you didn’t know, they were the first to create organic energy bars with all real ingredients. Clif has created more energy bar varieties, put in lots of volunteer hours, hired great employees, sought out the best organic ingredients, more volunteer work, ran some rad campaigns, and did we mention lots of volunteer work? Let’s just say, they’re pretty awesome and we’re proud to offer you their awesome bars in all our Oh My Green kitchens!

If you are an Oh My Green customer and you don’t see Clif’s Whole Lottas bars in your company’s kitchen, contact your Happiness Ambassador. If you’re not an Oh My Green customer, make the upgrade and get started today!

The more we learn about Bubba’s Fine Foods the more we like their products. They have really made an effort to create unique snacks using only natural ingredients. For that reason, and many others, Bubba’s Kettle Cooked Nana Chips are our pick for June’s Snack of the Month.

I mean, everything about the Nana Chips is right! They are grain-free, gluten-free, paleo-friendly, vegan, non-GMO, kosher, and they contain no added sugars, no soy, and no dairy. In addition to all this goodness, the Saba bananas used on the Nana Chips are naturally packed with prebiotics, vitamins, and minerals, and a low glycemic index due to their low sugar content. The Nana Chips are seasoned with real, healthy ingredients for complete deliciousness.

The Nana Chips are great on their own, but they are also perfect with dips, hummus, and guacamole.

The story of how Bubba’s Fine Foods started is as unique as the snacks themselves. A family business of sorts, Bubba’s Fine Food was formed by Jeff Schmidgall, a CrossFit trainer with Crohn’s disease, and Jared Menzel, a chef with Type 2 diabetes. Jared would make his own grain-free snacks and share them during family reunions. Jeff simply fell in love with the snacks and suggested to Jared that he should start a business. Little did he know he would be a part of it.

The Nana Chips were recently featured on the Today Show as one of the leading “healthy + delicious” products available in the market. So, we’re not alone in our love for the Nana Chips.

If you are an Oh My Green customer and you don’t see Bubba’s Nana Chips in your micro-kitchen, contact your Happiness Ambassador. If you’re not an Oh My Green customer, make the upgrade and Get started today!

Peanut butter + jelly combo lovers rejoice! Our pick for May’s Snack of the Month is This Saves Lives PB&J Bar. The delicious snack is gluten-free, non-GMO, and Kosher. The all-American combo has been made even better —IMHO— by the crunchiness of all the ingredients. The dried strawberries and cranberries, the crunchy peanuts and toasted oats are held together by creamy peanut butter and deliver a perfect sweet and salty combo.

The founders of This Saves Lives have a couple of things in common, they all are TV or movie stars and have a strong interest in doing good for humanity. Two had witnessed, first hand, the malnutrition crisis in Liberia during a humanitarian trip. They joined forces and started the company in 2013 to develop packets full of nutrients and vitamins to treat malnutrition.

For every bar purchased one packet of life-saving food is sent to a child in need. It takes about 3 packets per day, for a period of 8 weeks to bring one child from malnutrition to healthy. That’s about 168 packets.

If the deliciousness factor isn’t enough, imagine that every time you consume your PB&J bar or any of the delicious products made by This Saves Lives, you are also contributing to reversing malnutrition for a child somewhere in the world.

If you are an Oh My Green customer and want to try products made by This Saves Lives, contact your Happiness Ambassador today. If you’re not an Oh My Green customer, then get on board and make the upgrade! Get started today.
